Don't forget to contact Mississippi Bend AEA when planning your Technology Integration Professional Development sessions. Research has shown the importance of current professional development emphasizing hands-on technology use (Fatemi, 1999; Office of Technology Assessment, 1995; Panel on Educational Technology, 1997).  A well-planned, ongoing professional development program that is tied to the school's curriculum goals, designed with built-in evaluation, and sustained by adequate financial and staff support is essential if teachers are to use technology appropriately to promote learning for all students in the classroom.
