Brief description of program:
The Science program provides support to districts/schools to improve student science performance. Professional development and consultation is provided to educators to meet district/school science curriculum development, implementation, and/or evaluation needs as well as the alignment of effective instruction and appropriate assessment. The Science program provides consultations and workshops on scientifically-based instructional strategies and interventions to improve student learning.
Agency Goal:
Increase the percentage of low socioeconomic, individualized education programs, and minority students achieving science proficiency in grades 5, 8, and 11.
