Our Purpose
The purpose of the Educational Consultants of the Mississippi Bend Area Education Agency as instructional specialists is to facilitate the development of successful strategies and interventions for students (birth - 21) using a positive solution-focused paradigm through collaborating with parents, teachers, other staff and students in an enthusiastic, collaborative, and supportive environment.
Educational Consultants provide services to preschool through school-aged students. The consultant staff primarily serves special education teachers and students with diverse expertise in classroom teaching. Mississippi Bend AEA Consultants work with local schools in implementing Child Find procedures. The Child Find process ensures that individuals with disabilities who are in need of special education and related services are identified, located, and evaluated.
