
Environmental Services
The purpose of the environmental services program of the Mississippi Bend Area Education Agency, as a proactive provider of environmental, occupational and transportation related services is to assist schools in creating a safe and healthy environment for students, staff and community through leadership, technical expertise and training services in a climate of trust and cooperation.
Asbestos Program
Assist schools in compliance with state and federal asbestos regulations. Services include asbestos inspections/reinspections for district facilities, preparation/updating of management plans, collection of bulk asbestos samples, training and consulting.
OSHA Program
Assist schools in compliance with state regulations. Services include facility inspections and written reports, training and in-services, assistance with written programs and implementation.
Other Services
Assist schools with other facility issues. Services include recycling, radon and lead in drinking water testing, consulting on underground storage tanks and assistance with ADA/504 facility audits.
Bus Driver Training
Services/advantages include quarterly transportation manager meetings, on-site and customized training and financial savings. Assist schools in meeting Departments of Education training mandates by offering the School Transportation Operator's Program (STOP Program) and the Annual In-service.
